As always, make sure bdsm/kink play is safe, sane, and consensual. Never leave your sub alone during bdsm play. Prepare everything needed before restraining your sub so there’s no need to step away until after you’ve released him. When using rope or any tightly fitting cuffs, always periodically feel your sub’s hands/feet/balls (whatever is tied) to ensure they aren’t cold. Cold is a sign of circulation loss which needs to be addressed immediately by removing the restraints in that area before your sub gets hurt.

Specific to this week’s tutorial, gagging your sub can be very hot, but be smart about it and use common sense. Never leave your sub alone while gagged, especially with a gag that’s deep or severely muffling (long dick gags, socks stuffed in the sub’s mouth or covering his nose in any way, ball gags that could fall deeper into his mouth, etc.). If adding a hood, be extra careful and make sure the hood isn’t too constricting. You definitely don’t want your sub to have trouble breathing.

Ok, once again, this part is generally pretty obvious. Just gag your sub, and you’re done. However, I’m including pics of Gboy wearing each of these gags (except the duct tape gag, see below), some up close pics so you can see how they work, and a few extra tricks on how to keep certain gags in. I’ll also mention how Gboy rated each gag in comparison to the others, in a little after-session interview I had with him. Gags may look hot, but until the sub experiences them, you don’t know if they will be tolerable, or make his jaw sore for a week. Hopefully Gboy’s opinions will help clear that up a bit.

Sock Gag

A sock gag is always a good option. It’s free, easily accessible (no need to wait for a gag via mail order from a kinky site), discrete since you really don’t need to hide your socks from anybody, soft so there’s no need to worry about your sub’s jaw getting too sore with long-term gagging, and an overall great choice for a gag. Plus it can be a humiliating gag, so if your sub needs to be punished or just brought down a peg or two, a sock gag just might do the trick. Although it may seem simple, it’s a variety of gags all-in-one. Just want to shut your sub up for a while? Use a clean/unworn sock. Does your sub need to be put through some humiliation/punishment? Grab a sock from your dirty clothes hamper, how deep you dig down can be based on his attitude (yesterday’s socks vs. 3+ days ago, or those you wore for your workout or a good run that day).

Gboy’s opinion of this gag: “This gag was more on the humiliating side. Pretty much as humiliating as it can get. Luckily my Sir had pretty clean socks. ;)  Could be made a lot worse depending on how smelly the sock is.” (Although his cock did jump when I gagged him with my socks as you can see in the pics below, just saying…that just might have been a sign.) ;)

If you’ve got a cocky sub who thinks he can simply spit it out, use a rope to secure the sock gag on him so there’s no chance of spitting it out.

Sock Gag with another sock tied over nose

Want to increase the gagging effect and the humiliation a bit more? Take another sock and secure it over your sub’s nose. If you’ve got the first sock secured with a rope tied over his mouth and around the back of his head, you can easily tuck the second sock inside the ropes on the sides of his head. This one is also great if you want to put your sub in a simple predicament as you tickle torture him. Then he has a choice: Laugh his ass off, which will force him to breathe heavily, breathing through your socks with every deep breath. Or, try to hold it in as you exploit his most ticklish areas, so he doesn’t have to deal with the effects of the sock gag as much. Then again, some subs strongly prefer breathing deeply through a sock gag in that situation.

Gboy’s opinion of this gag: “Takes the lead of humiliating where not only can you taste the sock, but now you can smell it as well. No mercy switching from breathing through your nose to breathing through your mouth.”

Adding a Sock to a Jennings mouth gag

If you’ve got a Jennings mouth gag, why not add a sock gag to the mix. It’s not like your sub can stop you from shoving a sock in his wide open, inviting mouth. ;)

Gboy’s opinion of this gag: “When you think it can’t get worse, or better depending on how you look at it, it’s a sock forced into your open mouth with the only chances of getting it out being with the force of your tongue trying to push it out. It was a pretty interesting feeling.”

Shoe Gag

A shoe gag is another more humiliating gag (and a favorite of many subs into humiliation and/or feet). It’s also another one that’s free and doesn’t require an order from a kinky gear store, or even a trip to your local home improvement store. Just put it over your sub’s mouth and nose, usually best with the toe at the top, then use a rope to tie it. Run the rope around the back of his head and tie it in place. Or, you can use duct tape for a more secure, long lasting, “no way out” hold. If your sub needs to be punished, maybe go for a 1-2 mile run in the sneakers first, then use one of them as his gag right when you get back. Just be sure not to leave your sub in bondage while your gone (maybe locked in chastity, but not restrained otherwise).

Gboy’s opinion of this gag: “The shoe gag was interesting. Again luckily the shoes didn’t smell unhygienic. So it could again be made worse depending on how brutally used the shoe is. Very interesting gag.”

Rope Gag

This is a nice, easy gag. It’s simple, effective, and usually doesn’t require buying anything if you have about 2 feet of rope somewhere in your home. Just double it up (or quadruple or more can be even better), then tie it behind your sub’s head.

Gboy’s opinion of this gag: “The rope gag was just like it said. Pretty plain but it does the trick. Keeps you quiet and can be found anywhere in the house. This one felt the most comfy and felt easier for long term use.”

Tape Gag

Unfortunately I had a much shortened time with another sub recently, thanks to the horrible road conditions (snow/ice) in this area lately. Safety first, always, and that meant a later start to our session. So I didn’t get time to get a tape gag tutorial with him for you guys. However, I searched for a good one and found an excellent tape gag tutorial, courtesy of @leatherbondagelove. Many thanks to @hushpuppy1980 as well for helping me find this one for you at the last minute when I scheduled this post.

Gboy’s opinion of this gag: Gboy didn’t get to try this one, yet. However, when I mentioned it to him, this was his response: “A tape gag would have been near the top of my list of favorites. I love duct tape!” So you can probably expect to see me reblogging this post sometime in the future with a nice tape gag on Gboy, and his opinion of the tape gag after experiencing it. ;)
